We process ceramic-loaded polymers—alumina/zirconia compounds (55–70 vol% filler), POM binders, and specialized feedstock (Catamold®)—via precision injection molding at 180–250°C melt temperatures and 1,200–1,800 bar injection pressure to achieve near-net-shape green bodies with uniform density. Mold designs optimize debinding/sintering outcomes through integrated gas vents, flow simulation (Autodesk Moldflow® ceramic module), and hardened D2 steel inserts resisting abrasive wear at 10k+ cycles. Scientific molding protocols regulate screw speed, backpressure, and decompression to eliminate air traps or knit lines critical for achieving ISO 13006/B1a-class tiles (water absorption ≤0.5%).
