Every SL-GR1D inground light is built for outdoor life. The brushed stainless steel top ring resists corrosion and keeps its finish under foot traffic, the die-cast aluminum body handles heat dissipation and structural loads, and the tempered glass lens protects the LED modules from impact. The IP65 waterproof rating - sealed with a waterproof nut and aluminum gland - keeps rain, sprinklers and ground moisture out, so the light keeps working season after season.
Precision optics give five beam choices for different outdoor tasks: a narrow 15-degree beam for accent details, 30 and 45 degrees for signage and feature lighting, 60 degrees for pathway and patio coverage, and an ultra-wide 120-degree beam for wall washing and perimeter illumination. With Ra 90 color rendering, stone, timber and planting colors stay natural and vivid.
For dynamic outdoor scenes, RGB versions of the SL-GR1D connect by DMX512 in a daisy chain, giving designers full control over color, brightness and effects from a central controller. Standard versions run on AC100-265V (three-wire V+/V-/G) or AC/DC12-24V (two-wire V+/V- parallel), covering both mains and low-voltage landscape systems. Lamp beads are customizable with CREE, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, EPISTAR, Bridgelux and LUMINUS chips.
The plastic embedded body is cast into the ground first, then the lamp body drops in flush. Installation follows eight simple steps: switch off the breaker, loosen the rim screws, separate the lamp body from the embedded housing, place the embedded body in cement with the power cord through the wire hole, seat it, connect and lower the lamp body, secure it flush with the floor, and switch the power back on. The result is a clean, level finish that resists water pooling.
