SKYSIL SW-300 SILICA MATTING AGENT

SW-300 silica matting agent is a high-quality and special additive that is designed for water-based coating. Same with our other silica matting

agent, SW-300 silica matting agent is also produced by precipication method. It has special surface treatment which is different with our other

products. This means it can not only create excellent matting efficiency, but also takes into account both environmental protection and ease of

construction, it is an ideal choice for water-based coatings.

SW-300 silica matting agent is produced from original material silicate. And then nano-scale silica gel is generated through acid-base neutralization

reaction, and porous micron-scale particles (D50 4-5μm) are formed through precisely controlled washing, drying and calcination processes.

Green processes are introduced during the production process to reduce wastewater discharge, and the hydrophilic modification of silica is carried

out through surface coating technology, which significantly enhances its dispersion stability in aqueous systems.

-Special surface treatment for water-based systems

Through composite modification technology, hydrophilic groups are grafted onto the surface of silica to greatly improve its compatibility with

water-based resins, avoid agglomeration or sedimentation problems caused by polarity differences, and ensure uniform and delicate paint films.

- Low viscosity effect, easy to disperse

The optimized particle size distribution and surface charge characteristics enable it to be quickly dispersed in water-based systems with only

conventional shearing, avoiding viscosity increases caused by excessive grinding, saving production time and energy consumption.
