Are Inductors Directional

Inductance is not inherently a "directional" component. Its fundamental function is to store energy in a circuit and generate a self-induced electromotive force when the current changes. The inductance value (expressed in Henrys, H) is a scalar quantity that does not involve direction.

However, in certain situations, we may discuss the directionality of inductance components.
