PET Sheet Material for Industrial Use

PET sheet is a high-performance engineering plastic made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) through precise processing. Through advanced molecular chain alignment technology, the sheet achieves a smooth, flat surface finish and, with special treatments, maintains long-term gloss retention. Its molecular structure exhibits outstanding UV resistance, preventing yellowing or embrittlement even after prolonged outdoor exposure. The material also features excellent electrical insulation properties, making it ideal for electronic component protection, while its chemical resistance enables operation in diverse industrial environments with low maintenance costs.

Product Features

Physical and mechanical properties

Density: 1.38-1.40 g/cm ³, combining lightweight and structural strength

Tensile strength: ≥ 150 MPa (about 40% higher than PMMA)

Bending strength: ≥ 200 MPa, excellent impact resistance (notch impact strength ≥ 6 kJ/m ²)

Dimensional stability: Linear expansion coefficient ≤ 6.0 × 10 ⁻⁵/℃, less affected by temperature and humidity

Chemistry and Weather Resistance

Chemical corrosion resistance: insoluble in weak acids/bases, resistant to oils and organic solvents (excluding ethanol and acetone)

Weather resistance: Tested by UL746C, it can withstand UV irradiation for up to 5000 hours (yellowing index Δ YI ≤ 1.5)

Fire rating: V-0 level (UL94), excellent self extinguishing performance

Processing plasticity

Hot forming temperature range: 85~160 ℃, supports vacuum/air pressure forming, CNC machining, laser cutting

Low temperature impact modification: maintains over 85% tensile strength at -40 ℃
