Laminated PP Green Sheets is a composite sheet made of polypropylene (PP) resin as the base material, which is made by combining the functional layer (such as masterbatch layer, flame retardant layer, reinforcing fiber layer, etc.) with the base material layer through multi-layer co-extrusion or compounding process, and then hot pressing or laminating process. Its surface is green (usually colored by environmentally friendly masterbatch), and it is a high-performance engineering plastic sheet with both lightweight, processability and functionality.
Laminated PP Green Sheets combines the lightweight advantages of polypropylene with functional requirements through multi-layer composite technology, and is suitable for fields that require a balance between cost, environmental protection and performance. Its customizable laminated structure (such as adding glass fiber, flame retardant, antistatic agent, etc.) makes it an ideal choice to replace traditional metals or engineering plastics, especially in the fields of new energy vehicles, green buildings and electronic appliances.
Product performance of laminated polypropylene sheet
Physical properties
Density: 0.90–0.95 g/cm³ (lower than traditional engineering plastics, with significant lightweight advantages).
Thickness range: Typically 2–20 mm (customizable), with high surface flatness.
Color stability: Green masterbatch is evenly dispersed, resistant to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and will not fade after long-term use.
Mechanical properties
Tensile strength: 20–35 MPa (depending on the laminate structure, it can be increased to more than 50 MPa if a glass fiber reinforcement layer is added).
Flexural modulus: 1000–2500 MPa (rigidity is adjustable to meet structural support requirements).
Impact strength: Unnotched impact strength ≥ 30 kJ/m² (resistance to brittle fracture, suitable for dynamic load environments).
Chemical and weather resistance
Chemical resistance: Acid and alkali resistance (pH 3–11), resistance to organic solvents (such as ethanol, acetone), suitable for chemical containers or laboratory equipment.
Temperature resistance: Long-term use temperature -20℃ to +120℃, short-term resistance to 140℃ (heat deformation temperature HDT ≥ 100℃).
Weather resistance: After adding anti-UV agent, the outdoor service life can reach 5–10 years (no powdering, cracking).
Environmental protection and processing performance
Environmental protection: 100% recyclable, in line with international environmental protection standards such as RoHS and REACH; green colorant is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly formula.
Processability: Supports thermoforming (vacuum blister, molding), machining (CNC cutting, drilling), welding (hot air welding, ultrasonic welding), etc.
Product Advantages
Balance of Lightweight and High Strength: The density is only 1/8 of that of metal, but the laminated structure design can achieve rigidity close to that of metal, reducing transportation and installation costs.
Functional Integration: Flame retardant (UL94 V-2/V-0), antistatic, antibacterial and other functions are achieved through multi-layer composites, reducing subsequent processing steps.
Cost-effectiveness: Low raw material cost (PP is a bulk general resin), and processing energy consumption is lower than metal or engineering plastics (such as ABS, PC).
Sustainability: Recyclable and reusable, and the carbon emissions of the production process are lower than traditional materials (such as PVC or PET).
