White PET Plastic Rod Material

White PET rod (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a high-performance thermoplastic engineering plastic profile. It uses a high-purity PET resin substrate and is made through precision extrusion, crystallization treatment and surface optimization processes. Different from ordinary PET packaging materials, engineering-grade white PET rods have higher molecular weight, crystallinity and thermal stability. At the same time, by adding titanium dioxide (TiO₂) or special white masterbatch, it achieves excellent surface whiteness (L* value ≥ 90) and uniform color. This material has excellent performance in mechanical strength, chemical resistance and dimensional stability. It is widely used in precision machinery, medical equipment, food processing and electronic and electrical fields, especially suitable for application scenarios with strict requirements on cleanliness, weather resistance and aesthetics.

Performance Characteristics of PET plastic

Mechanical properties:

High strength and rigidity: tensile strength ≥120 MPa, flexural modulus ≥3,000 MPa, Rockwell hardness M90-100, can withstand high loads and impacts (notched impact strength ≥5 kJ/m²).

Low creep and fatigue resistance: deformation rate under long-term stress <0.5%, dynamic load life >10⁷ cycles, suitable for reciprocating parts.

Thermal performance:

Wide temperature resistance range: continuous use temperature -40°C to +150°C, short-term heat resistance 180°C (heat deformation temperature HDT/A 1.8MPa≥200°C).

Low thermal expansion coefficient (5×10⁻⁵ K⁻¹), dimensional stability is better than most engineering plastics (water absorption <0.1%).

Chemical and surface properties:

Chemical corrosion resistance: resistant to weak acids, weak bases, alcohols, greases and some organic solvents (such as acetone, gasoline), not resistant to strong acids (concentrated sulfuric acid/nitric acid) and high temperature strong bases.

Smooth and white surface: Ra＜0.3μm, anti-fouling and easy to clean, no precipitate.

Electrical properties:

High insulation: volume resistivity＞10¹⁶ Ω·cm, dielectric strength＞25 kV/mm, suitable for high-frequency insulation parts.

Optical properties:

High whiteness and yellowing resistance: Add UV stabilizer, and the color remains stable after long-term exposure to sunlight (ΔE＜2 after 1,000h QUV test).
