HDPE Sheet (High-Density Polyethylene Sheet) is a thermoplastic engineering plastic sheet based on high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which is formed by extrusion or molding. High-density polyethylene is a linear polymer formed by the polymerization of ethylene monomers under low pressure. The molecular chains are tightly arranged and the crystallinity is as high as 60%-80%, which gives the material high rigidity, excellent chemical corrosion resistance and low permeability. The surface of HDPE sheet is smooth and flat, with uniform color (commonly white, black or blue, and other colors can be customized). The thickness range is usually 2mm to 100mm, the width can reach more than 2 meters, and the length can be customized according to needs. According to different uses, HDPE sheets can be divided into ordinary grade, wear-resistant grade, antistatic grade and food grade. Some products are suitable for outdoor environments by adding UV stabilizers to enhance weather resistance.

Advantages

Balance of lightness and high rigidity: The density is only 1/8-1/3 of that of metal, but the tensile strength and bending modulus are significantly better than PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and LDPE (low-density polyethylene), which is suitable for weight-sensitive and structural strength-required scenarios.

Outstanding chemical corrosion resistance: In chemical storage and transportation, environmental protection equipment and other scenarios, it can replace stainless steel or fiberglass, reduce maintenance costs and avoid metal ion pollution.

Chemical and environmental engineering:

Corrosion-resistant storage tanks and containers: Used to store corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and alkali. HDPE sheets can be made into large storage tanks (with a volume of up to thousands of cubic meters) through hot-melt welding, replacing stainless steel or fiberglass to reduce corrosion risks and maintenance costs.

Ventilation ducts and exhaust gas treatment components: In the chemical, electroplating and other industries, ventilation ducts made of HDPE sheets can withstand acid and alkali gas corrosion, and there is no risk of deformation or leakage in long-term use.

Filter plates and separators: Used in sewage treatment, oil-water separation and other equipment, the high chemical stability of HDPE ensures that the filtration accuracy is not affected by the medium.

Food and pharmaceutical industries:

Food packaging linings: Used for supermarket fresh food pallets, beverage bottle stacking pads, etc., HDPE's non-toxicity and low temperature resistance (-40℃ can still maintain toughness) can meet the needs of cold chain transportation.

Medicine trays and laboratory utensils: FDA-compliant HDPE sheets can be used for drug packaging linings or laboratory culture dishes, reagent racks, etc. to avoid metal ion contamination or glass shattering risks.

Disposable medical device parts: Such as syringe protective covers, surgical trays, etc., HDPE's resistance to high-temperature steam sterilization (can withstand 30 minutes at 121°C) meets medical disinfection requirements.

Architecture and decoration fields:

Sound barriers and anti-collision panels: Used for sound insulation walls along highways and railways, HDPE's high toughness can absorb impact energy and reduce secondary injuries in traffic accidents; at the same time, its low density reduces structural loads.

Advertising panels and signboards: HDPE sheets can be printed with high-definition patterns on the surface, and their weather resistance is better than PVC (can be used outdoors for more than 5 years after UV stabilization treatment), suitable for advertising displays in shopping malls, subway stations and other places.
