HDPE Sheet (High-density polyethylene sheet) is a thermoplastic engineering plastic sheet based on high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which is formed by extrusion or molding. High-density polyethylene is a linear polymer formed by the polymerization of ethylene monomers under low pressure conditions. The molecular chains are tightly arranged and the crystallinity is as high as 60%-80%, giving it high rigidity, excellent chemical corrosion resistance and low permeability. The surface of HDPE sheet is smooth and flat, with uniform color (commonly white, black or blue, and other colors can be customized). The thickness range is usually 2mm to 100mm, the width can reach more than 2 meters, and the length can be customized according to needs. According to different uses, HDPE sheets can be divided into ordinary grade, wear-resistant grade, antistatic grade and food grade. Some products are suitable for outdoor environments by adding UV absorbers (UV Stabilizer) to enhance weather resistance.

Product performance​
Mechanical properties​:
High rigidity: tensile strength 20-40MPa, bending modulus 800-1200MPa, better than LDPE (low-density polyethylene), suitable for structural parts with medium loads.
Medium toughness: cantilever beam notch impact strength ≥20kJ/m² (normal temperature), can still maintain certain impact resistance at low temperature (-40℃), but the brittle temperature is slightly higher than PP (polypropylene).
Good fatigue resistance, slow performance decay under repeated loads (such as dynamic support components).
 
Thermal properties​:
Melting point is about 120-130℃, long-term use temperature range -60℃ to 100℃ (short-term tolerance of 120℃), heat deformation temperature (under 1.82MPa load) is about 70-90℃.
Excellent low temperature resistance, impact resistance retention rate >80% under -40℃ environment, suitable for application in cold areas.

Chemical properties​:
Excellent chemical corrosion resistance: Stable to most acids (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid), alkalis (such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide), salt solutions and organic solvents (such as ethanol, acetone), only soluble in strong oxidants (such as concentrated nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid) and high-temperature halogenated hydrocarbons (such as carbon tetrachloride).
Excellent water resistance and steam resistance, almost no attenuation of performance in long-term use in humid environment, and permeability is much lower than PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer).
 
Electrical properties​:
Volume resistivity ≥10¹⁵Ω·cm, dielectric strength 20-30kV/mm, excellent insulating material, suitable for low-voltage electrical components.
 
Processing performance​:
Easy to thermoform (such as vacuum blister, hot pressing), mechanical processing (such as cutting, drilling, turning), surface can be printed, sprayed or electroplated; extremely low water absorption (<0.01%), high dimensional stability after processing.
 
Other features​:
Low density (0.94-0.97g/cm³), only 1/8 of steel and 1/3 of aluminum, suitable for lightweight applications.
Non-toxic, meets food contact safety standards (such as FDA, EU 10/2011), can be used for food packaging and medical aids.
UV resistance can be improved by adding stabilizers. Unstabilized HDPE may experience slight aging (such as surface powdering) after long-term outdoor exposure.
