Plastic coated tubing is composed of stainless steel inner tubing and an outer plastic layer (commonly PVC, PE, or PP), combining the strength and corrosion resistance of stainless steel with the added protection and insulation of a plastic coating. The inner stainless steel tube is typically made of 304, 316, 316L, 309, or 317 grades—each known for excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical performance. The plastic layer protects the tubing during transportation, installation, and operation in corrosive, humid, or chemically active environments.
