The core value of PP Rod lies in its comprehensive characteristics of "lightweight - chemical resistance - high temperature resistance - high impact resistance". It is suitable for fields that require corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, lightweight and cost control, especially in the chemical, machinery, food processing and medical industries.
Specific application areas and components
Chemical and environmental protection fields
Agitator shafts and blades: used for agitator shafts and blades of chemical reactors and sewage treatment agitator equipment. PP rods are resistant to chemical corrosion (resistance to sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide solution) and non-toxic, avoiding metal ion pollution, and have a service life of more than 5 years (metal agitator shafts usually need to be replaced every 1-2 years).
Pipeline connectors and bushings: elbows, tees and bushings of chemical pipelines. PP rods are acid and alkali resistant (resistance to concentration ≤98% sulfuric acid, 40% sodium hydroxide) and wear resistant (friction coefficient 0.3-0.4). Replacing metal parts can reduce maintenance costs (such as pickling tank bushings in electroplating plants).
Filter plate and screen support: filter plate frame or screen support structure in environmental protection equipment. PP rods are resistant to water immersion (water absorption rate <0.01%) and impact resistant (can withstand the impact of large particles), suitable for sewage treatment plants or mine beneficiation equipment.
Machinery and automobile fields
Reducer gears and bearings: Reducer gears in food processing equipment or light industrial machinery. PP rods have low density (70% lighter than metal gears), fatigue resistance (not easy to crack after repeated meshing) and self-lubricating properties (friction coefficient 0.2-0.3), which can reduce the use of lubricating oil (15%-20% energy saving compared to metal gears).
Conveyor roller shafts: Roller shafts for logistics conveyor belts or packaging equipment. PP rods are impact-resistant (can withstand large load impact) and wear-resistant (surface hardness Shore D 60-70), and their service life is 2 times longer than nylon shafts (especially suitable for humid environments).
Automotive interior support parts: Car luggage racks, glove box lining brackets, etc. PP rods are lightweight (60% lighter than metal parts), high temperature resistant (short-term tolerance of 130°C) and easy to process (low injection molding or turning molding costs), meeting automotive interior fire protection standards (UL94 HB).
Food and medical fields
Food processing stirring parts: mixer blades, conveying screws, etc. PP rods meet FDA/GB food contact safety standards, are resistant to acid and alkali corrosion (resistant to cleaning agents and disinfectants) and have no risk of plasticizer migration. They are widely used in dairy and beverage production lines (such as yogurt stirring shafts).
Medical device housings and supports: prosthetic joints, surgical instrument trays, etc. PP rods are resistant to high temperatures (can withstand 121°C high-pressure steam sterilization), non-toxic and have a smooth surface (easy to clean), meet ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards, and are safer and more economical to replace metals.
Laboratory equipment support: centrifuge rotors, incubator brackets, etc. PP rods are resistant to high temperatures (can withstand 120°C), non-toxic and have high dimensional stability (no deformation after long-term use), suitable for precision experimental equipment (such as gene sequencer components).
Construction and decoration field
Building formwork support beams: temporary support structures for concrete pouring. PP rods are lightweight (80% lighter than steel support beams), resistant to water immersion (water absorption rate <0.01%) and can be reused more than 50 times (steel support beams are prone to rust and corrosion). The cost is only 1/5 of that of steel support.
Indoor decoration partitions: lightweight partition keels for offices and laboratories. PP rods have low density (light weight), are easy to process (can be cut into any shape) and are non-toxic (meet indoor air quality standards). The surface can be affixed with fireproof panels or sprayed with paint to enhance decorativeness.
Billboard support structure: the frame or column of outdoor billboards. Weather-resistant PP rods (with anti-UV agent added) can resist ultraviolet radiation (no obvious aging after more than 5 years of outdoor use). The cost is lower than that of aluminum alloy (and has stronger impact resistance).
Home appliances and consumer electronics
Microwave turntable support: The turntable shaft or gear of the home appliance microwave oven. PP rods are resistant to high temperatures (can withstand 120°C), non-toxic and easy to process (low injection molding cost). It is more economical to replace metal (cost reduction of 40%) and suitable for parts with low heat resistance requirements.
Electronic equipment housing fixings: The base bracket of TV and audio equipment. PP rods are lightweight (the weight is 70% lighter than that of metal brackets), have excellent insulation (volume resistivity ≥10¹⁵Ω·cm) and are impact-resistant (can withstand drop tests), meeting home appliance safety standards (such as IEC 60065).
