Chemical performance
​Extreme chemical resistance: PTFE coil is one of the plastic materials with the highest known chemical stability. It is "immune" to almost all strong acids (such as concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, aqua regia), strong alkalis (such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide), strong oxidants (such as potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide) and organic solvents (such as acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride). It does not undergo any chemical reaction within the temperature range of -200℃ to 260℃, and has no swelling or corrosion in long-term contact with the medium.
​Non-toxicity: It complies with food contact safety standards (such as FDA, EU 10/2011), is non-toxic and odorless, can directly contact food, medicine or drinking water, and is used for food processing equipment, medical equipment and drinking water system components.
 
Thermal properties
​Ultra-wide temperature range: glass transition temperature is about 115℃, melting point is about 327℃, long-term use temperature range is -200℃ to 260℃ (can withstand 300℃ in the short term), it is one of the plastic materials with the best temperature resistance at present, suitable for applications in extreme temperature environments.
​Low thermal conductivity: about 0.25W/m·K, thermal insulation performance is better than most plastics (such as PE's thermal conductivity is about 0.4W/m·K), suitable for scenes requiring thermal insulation (such as high-temperature pipe insulation sleeves).

Electrical properties
​Excellent insulation: volume resistivity ≥10¹⁸Ω·cm (ordinary plastics are usually 10¹⁴-10¹⁶Ω·cm), dielectric strength 18-25kV/mm, dielectric constant 2.0-2.1 (1MHz), it is one of the plastic materials with the best insulation performance so far, suitable for high-voltage electrical components or high-frequency electronic components packaging.
​Antistatic optional: By adding antistatic agents (such as carbon black or surfactants), the surface resistivity can be reduced to 10⁶-10¹²Ω, avoiding the risk of dust adsorption or spark discharge caused by static electricity accumulation, and is suitable for anti-static places such as electronics factories and gas stations.
 
Mechanical properties
​Low friction coefficient: The static friction coefficient is 0.04-0.10 (common plastics are usually 0.2-0.5), and the dynamic friction coefficient is 0.02-0.08. It is one of the solid materials with the lowest known friction coefficient and is suitable for scenes requiring high sliding performance (such as bearings and seals).
​High compressive strength: The compression strength is ≥15MPa (common plastics are usually <10MPa), and it is not easy to deform under high pressure. It is suitable for sealing or supporting parts that bear heavy loads (such as flange gaskets and guide rails).
​High resilience: The compression permanent deformation rate is <5% (common plastics are usually >10%), and it can quickly recover deformation under long-term compression loads, which is suitable for dynamic sealing applications (such as O-rings and gaskets).
 
Other characteristics
​High lubricity: The surface is extremely smooth (roughness Ra < 0.05μm), the friction coefficient is extremely low (< 0.1), and self-lubrication can be achieved without lubricants, which is suitable for oil-free lubrication environments (such as food machinery and medical equipment).
​Non-stickiness: The surface energy is extremely low (about 18mN/m), and almost no substance adheres (including grease, water, protein), which is suitable for anti-sticking scenarios such as food processing (such as baking molds) and chemical reactor linings.

Extreme Chemical Stability
PTFE coils and sheets show absolute resistance to almost all chemical media (acids, alkalis, salts, organic solvents), and have become an irreplaceable "king of corrosion resistance" in the fields of chemical industry, environmental protection, energy, etc. For example, in the lining of strong acid (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid) and strong alkali (sodium hydroxide) tanks in electroplating plants, PTFE sheets can resist erosion of sulfuric acid with a concentration of up to 98% and sodium hydroxide solution with a service life of more than 10 years; in the seals of etching equipment in semiconductor manufacturing plants, PTFE can withstand corrosion from special strong acids such as hydrofluoric acid (HF), ensuring long-term and stable operation of equipment; in the lining of petrochemical storage tanks, PTFE can resist the penetration and corrosion of various organic solvents such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel, etc., avoiding leakage risks.
 
Ultra-wide temperature adaptability
The long-term use temperature range of PTFE coils is -200℃ to 260℃ (can withstand 300℃ in the short term), which is significantly better than other plastics (such as PE's upper temperature limit of about 80℃, PP about 120℃, PI about 200℃). This feature makes it excellent in aerospace (such as rocket fuel pipeline seals), cryogenic engineering (such as liquid nitrogen storage equipment linings), high-temperature industries (such as high-temperature flue gas pipeline gaskets in steel plants), etc. For example, in liquid oxygen delivery pipeline seals, PTFE can maintain flexibility and sealing at low temperatures of -200℃; in glass melting furnace high-temperature flue gas valves, PTFE gaskets can be used for a long time at high temperatures of 260℃ without softening or deformation.
 
Extreme electrical insulation
The volume resistivity of PTFE coiled sheet is as high as 10¹⁸Ω·cm (4-6 orders of magnitude higher than ordinary plastics), the dielectric strength is 18-25kV/mm (ordinary plastics are usually 10-20kV/mm), and the dielectric constant is only 2.0-2.1 (1MHz), which is one of the plastic materials with the best insulation performance to date. In scenarios such as high-voltage cable sheaths, electronic component packaging, and high-frequency circuit board substrates, PTFE can effectively prevent current leakage or arc discharge to ensure the safe operation of equipment. For example, in 500kV ultra-high voltage cables, PTFE sheaths can withstand tens of thousands of volts without breakdown; in high-frequency connectors of satellite communication equipment, PTFE substrates can reduce signal loss (dielectric loss tangent <0.0004) and improve communication quality.
 
Ultra-low friction and self-lubrication
The static friction coefficient of PTFE coil is only 0.04-0.10 (common plastics are usually 0.2-0.5), and the dynamic friction coefficient is even lower at 0.02-0.08 (about 1/50 of steel), and it can achieve self-lubrication without lubricants. This feature makes it outstanding in food machinery (such as baking molds, conveyor belt guides), medical equipment (such as artificial joints, surgical instrument sliders), textile machinery (such as high-speed loom guide rollers) and other fields. For example, in food baking molds, PTFE coatings can prevent dough from sticking and do not require frequent cleaning; in artificial joints, PTFE liners can reduce friction and wear between bones and implants, extending service life (up to more than 20 years).

Non-stickiness and easy cleaning

It performs well in food processing (such as frying pan coatings, candy molds), chemical reactor linings, pipeline anti-scaling and other scenarios. For example, in non-stick pan coatings, the PTFE layer prevents food from burning and sticking, making cleaning easier; in chemical reactors, the PTFE lining prevents reaction products (such as polymers and colloids) from adhering to the inner wall, reducing cleaning frequency and chemical consumption.
 
Weather resistance and long life
PTFE coils have excellent UV stability (no active groups in the molecular chain), and show no signs of aging after decades of outdoor exposure (such as the service life of outdoor cable sheaths of more than 30 years); at the same time, their chemical corrosion resistance and high compressive strength make their service life in industrial environments far longer than ordinary materials (such as the service life of chemical pipeline linings of up to 15-20 years).
