Gravity casting: Molten metal is poured into permanent molds with the aid of gravity. It excels in the production of metal parts with complex shapes and relatively smooth surfaces. By employing techniques such as inclined molds to optimize the flow of molten metal and introducing voids or holes with sand cores, this method has enhanced its adaptability and versatility in manufacturing parts with complex internal geometries and undercuts, making it one of the preferred processes for such parts. Its advantages include lower costs and suitability for large components; however, its disadvantages are slower cooling rates, which can lead to larger grain sizes and reduced mechanical properties. 
 
Pressure die casting: a process of casting magnesium alloys in a molten or semi-molten state under pressure. Its advantages include high production efficiency and suitability for manufacturing thin-walled and complex-shaped parts; however, its disadvantages are also obvious, such as high equipment investment and limited types of magnesium alloys applicable. 
 
Extrusion forming: Magnesium alloy extrusion forming technology refers to the plastic deformation of magnesium alloy billets at high temperatures to extrude them into blanks of the required shape and size, which are then processed through subsequent manufacturing procedures to produce parts or products. Products produced by this process feature high strength and excellent surface quality; however, the process is relatively complex and the cost is also higher. 
 
Powder metallurgy: Magnesium alloy powder metallurgy technology involves pressing metal powder into shape and then sintering it into parts through methods such as sintering. This technology is suitable for manufacturing high-performance, complex-shaped magnesium alloy parts and can achieve a uniform microstructure; however, its production cost is relatively high and the technical requirements are also quite strict.
