Working Principle
Taking a plunger-type hydraulic pump as an example, when the main shaft drives the cylinder block to rotate, the plungers are pressed against the swashplate by spring force and centrifugal force. As the cylinder block rotates, the plungers make reciprocating motions within the cylinders. When the plungers extend outward, the sealed volume formed between the plungers and the cylinders increases, creating a vacuum, and hydraulic oil is sucked in from the oil suction port. When the plungers retract inward, the sealed volume decreases, the hydraulic oil is compressed, and the pressure rises, being discharged from the oil discharge port. By controlling the frequency and stroke of the plunger motions, the output flow rate and pressure of the hydraulic pump can be adjusted.
