The anti-static POM black sheet, made of 100% pure pom material, through the combined properties of the POM substrate's high mechanical properties, anti-static functionality, and black appearance, addresses the shortcomings of traditional anti-static materials (such as ABS and PC)—lack of rigidity and poor wear resistance—or the heavy and corrosive nature of conductive materials (such as metal plates). This makes it an ideal choice for applications in electronics, precision manufacturing, and other industrial fields requiring an anti-static, highly wear-resistant, and lightweight load-bearing surface.
 
Anti-static Performance
Precisely Controlled Surface Resistivity: Through the addition of conductive fillers (e.g., carbon black content of 1%-5%) or surface anti-static coating, POM's inherent insulating properties (standard POM resistivity >10¹⁴Ω) are adjusted to anti-static levels (10⁴-10⁹Ω) or conductive levels (<10⁴Ω, upon request). This ensures that static charges are quickly dissipated within 1 second (preventing dangerous voltage buildup).
 
Fast Static Decay Time: Static voltage generated by friction rapidly decays to a safe range (e.g., <100V, while standard POM may retain thousands of volts of static electricity), meeting anti-static standards such as ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IEC 61340.
 
Long-Term Stability: The conductive network is evenly distributed throughout the material matrix (not solely dependent on the surface coating), making anti-static performance less susceptible to humidity (standard anti-static materials lose their effectiveness at low humidity levels <30%, while anti-static POM remains stable within a 10%-90% RH range).

Mechanical Properties
Ultra-High Rigidity & Strength: Tensile strength of 60-75 MPa (higher than ABS's 40-60 MPa and PC's 50-65 MPa), flexural strength of 90-120 MPa, and elastic modulus of 2800-3200 MPa (approximately 1.5 times that of PC and 1.8 times that of ABS), making it suitable for withstanding high static loads (such as equipment load-bearing surfaces).
 
Excellent Wear Resistance: The coefficient of friction is only 0.15-0.2 (compared to 0.3-0.5 for steel, and POM's self-lubricity is second only to PTFE). The wear rate is extremely low (under unlubricated conditions, the wear of the friction pair is only 1/3 that of nylon). The surface is resistant to scratches even after long-term use (the black exterior is more resistant to stains and development).
 
High Hardness & Creep Resistance: Rockwell hardness (M scale) of approximately 80-90 (close to aluminum alloy), with minimal deformation under long-term static loads (creep strain <0.5% for 1000 hours at 80°C and 20 MPa), making it suitable for positioning and supporting precision components (such as electronic component mounting plates).
 
Thermal Properties
Moderate to High Heat Resistance: Continuous operating temperature -40°C to +100°C (short-term tolerance 120°C), melting point 165-175°C (processing temperature 190-240°C), heat deflection temperature (HDT, 1.82 MPa) 90-110°C. While lower than engineering plastics like PEEK (260°C), it is superior to general-purpose plastics (e.g., PP at 80°C and ABS at 80°C).
 
Low thermal expansion coefficient: approximately 8-10×10⁻⁵/°C (approximately half that of aluminum), with excellent dimensional stability during temperature fluctuations (suitable for precision instrument panels, reducing fit errors caused by thermal deformation).

Chemical Properties
Strong chemical resistance: Stable (no swelling or corrosion at room temperature) to most acids (e.g., dilute sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid), alkalis (e.g., sodium hydroxide), saline solutions, and organic solvents (e.g., ethanol, gasoline, and lubricating oils). The only insurmountable resistance is strong acids (e.g., concentrated nitric acid, sulfuric acid) and strong oxidizers (e.g., chromic acid). Black POM's carbon black filler further enhances its resistance to UV rays and oxidizing media.
 
Excellent oil resistance: No penetration or swelling (volume change <1%) to mineral oil, hydraulic oil, or silicone oil, making it suitable for oily environments (e.g., factory workstations).
 
Electrical Properties (Except Antistatic)
Basic Insulation (Unmodified): Volume Resistivity > 10¹⁴Ω·cm (Ordinary POM is an insulating material). However, antistatic POM utilizes a conductive network design to dissipate static electricity while maintaining a certain level of insulation (avoiding the electromagnetic interference caused by full conductivity).
 
Non-Magnetic: Contains no metal components such as iron and nickel, making it suitable for precision equipment sensitive to magnetic fields (such as electron microscope peripheral components).
 
Processability
Easy to Form: Excellent melt flowability (adjustable melt flow rate (MFR) 2-25g/10min), suitable for injection molding (complex structural parts), extrusion (sheets/rods), and compression molding (special-shaped parts). Shrinkage is 1.5-2.0% (dimensional compensation required).
 
High Processing Efficiency: Short injection molding cycles and long mold life (wear resistance, suitable for mass production).
