Prepainted Matt RAL3005/3005/7024/8019/9005 Color Coated Galvalume/Galvanized Steel

Pre-painted matte coated steel sheets are manufactured using hot-dip galvanized (GI) or aluminum-zinc alloy-coated (GL, 55%Al-43.4%Zn-1.6%Si) steel substrates. The coating system comprises a chromate-free conversion coating, an epoxy primer (5–12 μm), and a matte topcoat based on polyester (PE), siliconized polyester (SMP), or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin. Matte effect is achieved through incorporation of silica matting agents (3–8% by weight) or micro-embossed surface textures. Substrate specifications include minimum coating weights of Z100 (GI) or AZ150 (GL) per EN 10346. The aluminum-zinc alloy coating (GL) provides enhanced corrosion resistance, particularly in cut-edge protection, due to its sacrificial anode behavior and barrier protection from the aluminum-rich phase. Matte coatings exhibit gloss levels of 10–30 GU (60°) and surface roughness (Ra) of 0.8–2.0 μm. Performance characteristics include adhesion (cross-cut ≥Gt1 per ISO 2409), impact resistance (≥9 J), and QUV-B weathering resistance (≥1000 h for PE, ≥3000 h for PVDF with ΔE ≤3). For roofing applications, recommended sheet thickness is 0.4–0.7 mm with tensile strength ≥280 MPa; fencing applications typically use 0.3–0.5 mm thickness. Installation requires corrosion-resistant fasteners (stainless steel A2/A4 or aluminum) with EPDM washers; panel spans should be calculated based on local wind load requirements (e.g., EN 1991-1-4). Cut edges must be sealed with zinc-rich primer or touch-up paint.
