The Tiggo 5X is a new car, representing Chery's achievement of bringing a "small SUV" to the 60,000 RMB price range with high-performance commuter vehicles. The 2025 model is 4400 mm long with a 2630 mm wheelbase and a drag coefficient of 0.34. The front features a hexagonal grille with a chrome strip, while the rear boasts LED taillights and dual exhaust pipes. It's a step above the used Reina (a used car) and more refined than commercial microvans, making it easy to maneuver in alleyways.

The interior features a black and gray two-tone design, a 10.25-inch floating central touchscreen, and a 3.5-inch LCD instrument cluster. The space is more organized than other new energy SUVs and pure electric microvans in the same price range, and the battery doesn't encroach on the floor. The vehicle offers two powertrain options: a 1.5L engine producing 85 kW/143 N·m, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 9-speed CVT, achieving a WLTC fuel consumption of 7.3 L/100 km; and a 1.5T engine producing 115 kW/230 N·m, also paired with a CVT, offering more power and requiring only 92-octane gasoline. The chassis features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension, with comfort-oriented springs that effectively filter out minor bumps. Electronic power steering provides stability at high speeds up to 120 km/h. Higher-spec models include a 540° surround-view camera and tire pressure monitoring, making city parking and highway cruising effortless.

Compared to older used cars, the new model offers a larger screen and connected car features; compared to new energy vehicles, it eliminates the hassle of charging stations; compared to commercial MPVs, it maintains the off-road capability and compact size of an SUV, making it suitable for family use, commuting, and long-distance travel—a practical choice for your "first SUV."
