The cage is mostly made of brass (suitable for high-speed and high-temperature scenarios, such as machine tool spindles) or reinforced nylon (suitable for low-noise, lightweight requirements, such as precision instruments). Some high-end models are equipped with ceramic rolling elements to further reduce the friction coefficient and heat generation. Depending on the protection requirements, a dust cover (ZZ type) or sealing ring (2RS type) can be installed.
