The all-new Tank 400 is a rugged SUV labeled "New Car," a true "hexagonal warrior," and Great Wall Motors' latest masterpiece in the 250,000 RMB price range, combining mecha aesthetics with a full powertrain lineup. Its imposing 4964×1970×1905mm dimensions, coupled with a 2850mm wheelbase and a drag coefficient of 0.38, give it a powerful presence. The front features a six-slot grille seamlessly integrated with the flat bumper, while the rear boasts a rear-mounted spare tire and a side-opening power tailgate. More spirited than the used Tank 300, and more agile than the boxy commercial vehicle, it allows for easy U-turns in underground parking garages.

The 2.4T diesel engine produces 137kW/490N·m of torque, with a fuel consumption of 8.9L/100km. The Hi4-T plug-in hybrid system boasts a combined power output of 310kW/750N·m, a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.8 seconds, a WLTC pure electric range of 105km, three differential locks, an 800mm wading depth, and the ability to concentrate torque on a single wheel even in sandy conditions. It offers greater mechanical reliability than pure electric new energy vehicles and greater capability on rough terrain compared to traditional four-wheel drive systems.
