A galvanized garden gate is a framed leaf that closes an opening in a garden fence. We weld 40x60 mm or 20x40 mm square tube into the frame, fix welded wire mesh, chain link or tubular infill inside it, hot-dip galvanize the steel, then powder coat it in white, grey, black or green, and set the leaf on 60x60, 80x80 or 100x100 mm square posts.

The leaf is welded into a rectangle from square tube, so it holds its shape while it hangs and swings clear of the ground.
The mounting tab is welded to the leaf, the barrel rides on a pin held in the post housing, and a bolt with a striker closes the leaf against the post.
The frame and mesh are hot-dip galvanized, so the steel is coated inside and out, including the cut tube ends and the mesh crossings.
A powder coat goes over the galvanized steel in white, grey, black or green, giving the gate its colour and a second barrier to the weather.
A single leaf 1000 to 1400 mm high closes a path or a lawn edge without shutting the view out.
Two leaves 1500 to 2400 mm high close a drive and meet at the centre, where they bolt into one striker.
Where salt air or standing water sit against the steel, the galvanized layer is the reason to pick this gate over a painted one.
An anti-climb panel or a post crank arm can be added where the gate has to stay shut at night.
Galvanizing covers the bare steel and the powder coat covers the galvanizing.

Checks run against the order and the approved sample: wire diameter, mesh openings, frame size with a tape, coating colour and coverage, and the travel of the hinge and bolt.
Leaves are wrapped so the coating does not rub through, then banded with the posts. Marks are stencilled as instructed.
