Ⅰ. Key Characteristics and Advantages of POM Mix PTFE Rod
 
Excellent Mechanical Properties: High mechanical strength, rigidity, and hardness with excellent elasticity; impact strength remains high even at low temperatures; good creep resistance and excellent dimensional stability.
 
Outstanding Lubrication Performance: Low coefficient of friction; wear resistance 3-5 times higher than ordinary POM; excellent sliding performance with virtually no creep. The addition of PTFE makes the material even smoother than pure polyoxymethylene, suitable for oil-free lubrication environments.
 
Stable Thermal Properties: Melting point approximately 175℃, heat distortion temperature approximately 130℃, long-term operating temperature up to 100℃, short-term operating temperature up to 150℃. Maintains good performance even at low temperatures.
 
Chemical and Electrical Properties: Physiologically inert, suitable for food contact; high dielectric strength, volume resistivity approximately 1×10¹⁴ Ω·cm, flame retardant rating HB (UL-94).

Ⅲ. Processing Methods
 
Injection Molding: Suitable for manufacturing complex-shaped parts. Processing temperature: 190-240℃, mold temperature: 80-105℃, injection pressure: 100-150MPa. POM material is highly hygroscopic and needs to be dried at 80-90℃ for 2 hours before processing.
 
CNC Machining: Suitable for manufacturing high-precision parts. Includes turning, milling, drilling, etc. For turning, cutting speed: 50-200 m/min, feed rate: 0.05-0.2 mm/rpm; for drilling, cutting speed: 50-100 m/min, feed rate: 0.05-0.15 mm/rpm.
 
Extrusion Molding: Suitable for producing continuous profiles such as pipes and sheets. Processing temperature: 190-230℃, mold temperature: 80-100℃.
 
 
 
 
Ⅳ. Precautions for Use
 
Processing Precautions:
 
Temperature Control: Avoid excessively high processing temperatures, which can cause material decomposition. Temperatures exceeding 220℃ can easily decompose and produce formaldehyde. Drying Treatment: Thorough drying is essential before processing; moisture content ≤ 0.05%.
Tool Selection: Use sharp high-speed steel or carbide tools, and sharpen them regularly to maintain sharpness.
Cooling and Lubrication: Coolant must be used during processing to prevent overheating and deformation of the material.
 
Precautions for Use:
 
Avoid contact with copper: Copper is a catalyst for POM degradation; avoid using copper materials in areas that come into contact with molten POM.
Chemical Resistance: Not resistant to strong acids (especially mineral acids), not resistant to ultraviolet radiation, and not fire-retardant.
Environmental Conditions: Avoid use in harsh environments; not resistant to strong acid corrosion and has poor weather resistance.
