SKYSIL HYDROPHOBIC SILICA S17A

S17A is premium grade hydrophobic silica specially developed for high end defoamer and lubricant manufacturing. All technical indexes are
strictly regulated to fit various industrial formulation demands.
1. Outstanding adsorption capacity
This product features specific surface area above 160 m²/g. When applied in defoamer production, it can effectively extend the foam inhibiting
duration and bring more stable using effect. When added into lubricant raw materials, it can form firm protective layer on contact surface to
enhance wear resistance and extreme pressure resistance of finished goods.
2. Stable hydrophobic property
Loss on ignition is controlled within 8.0%, with drying loss kept below 4.0%. After professional surface modification, the powder owns steady water
repellent ability. It will not harden or agglomerate easily during storage, and can keep stable physical state in different storage environments.
3. High purity with low impurities
The dry basis silicon dioxide content reaches over 97%. We strictly restrict heavy metal content below 0.001mg/kg and sodium sulfate content no more
than 1.0%. Low impurity composition can effectively avoid corrosion to metal parts, fully suitable for lubricants used in mechanical equipment and new
energy vehicles.
4. Easy processing and good dispersion
Its tapped density is between 120 g/L and 140 g/L, presenting light and loose powder state. The median particle size is controlled from 8.0 microns to
10.0 microns. It can blend evenly with other raw materials in short time during production, and will not cause abnormal viscosity change inside the
whole system.
