Functional Color Coated G550 galvalume Steel coil

G550 high-strength galvalume steel with functional color coating is manufactured from cold-rolled substrates subjected to degreasing and phosphating, followed by continuous roll-coating of either PVDF or polyester-based topcoats with a dry film thickness of 15–25 μm. The coating system delivers long-term resistance to UV degradation, atmospheric corrosion, and moisture exposure, maintaining color integrity under extreme climatic conditions. The material exhibits excellent formability, enabling complex bending and stamping operations without cracking or delamination. Its high solar reflectance reduces surface temperature rise, contributing to lower cooling loads in buildings—particularly advantageous in regions with intense solar irradiance. The substrate, composed of 55% aluminum-zinc alloy, provides superior cathodic and barrier protection compared to conventional galvanized steel. The coating formulation complies with low-VOC environmental standards and is fully recyclable without degradation of material properties. Applications include roofing, wall cladding, structural purlins, and industrial enclosures in commercial, institutional, and residential construction. Installation is compatible with standard metalworking tools and dry-fix systems, eliminating the need for on-site painting or sealants. The product meets international performance criteria under JIS G3312 and GB/T 12754, and supports compliance with green building certifications such as LEED and BREEAM through its durability, thermal efficiency, and lifecycle sustainability.
