Pre-painted steel coils for roofing and fencing applications are manufactured using a continuous coil coating process, where hot-dip galvanized (PPGI) or aluminum-zinc alloy-coated (PPGL) substrates undergo chemical pretreatment followed by the application of organic coatings such as polyester (PE) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). The surface is available in matte or textured (wrinkle) finishes, which reduce light reflection and improve slip resistance. This construction provides resistance to atmospheric corrosion, UV degradation, and thermal expansion stresses typical in exterior cladding applications. Material thicknesses range from 0.3 mm to 1.2 mm, with standard widths up to 1250 mm. The coating system is designed to maintain color stability and mechanical integrity under standard environmental exposure conditions (C2–C4 per ISO 12944). Fabrication is compatible with roll-forming, shearing, and punching operations; bending radii should exceed three times the material thickness to prevent coating cracking. For roofing installations, adequate slope and overlap are required to ensure water shedding. In fencing applications, edge protection and joint sealing are recommended to mitigate moisture ingress. Surface cleaning may be performed using water and mild detergent; abrasive or solvent-based cleaners should be avoided. No performance guarantees beyond industry-standard test results are implied. The product is intended for use as non-structural cladding and must be installed in accordance with applicable building codes and manufacturer guidelines.
