Huizhou Antenk Electronics Co., Ltd. (IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 certified) presents the DIN41612 Straight Plug Type E Solder with 160 positions. This high density connector follows the IEC 60603-2 standard, designed for backplane and board to board applications in industrial and telecom systems. The Type E configuration features 160 contacts arranged in 5 rows with 32 contacts per row, using a 2.54mm pitch. The insulator is molded from high temperature PBT or glass filled polyester rated UL94 V-0, providing excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability up to 125 degrees Celsius. Contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold plating of 0.8 microns on the mating area and pure tin on the solder tails. Key specifications include current rating 2A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 1000V AC, and operating temperature range from -55 to +125 degrees Celsius. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.
 
Applications include industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, medical devices, instrumentation, and high reliability computing. Usage method: solder the straight through hole pins to the PCB using wave or hand soldering with peak temperature of 260 degrees Celsius. The male plug mates with a corresponding DIN41612 female receptacle, creating a gas tight connection with high vibration resistance. Precautions: do not exceed 2A per contact, ensure proper alignment before mating, avoid excessive insertion force (maximum 55N). Advantages over competitors: Antenks Type E connector features reinforced contact retention with a minimum of 50N per contact, and gold plating thickness up to 1.0 microns for harsh environments. Pin coplanarity is maintained within 0.08mm to prevent soldering defects. Compared to standard 96 pin types, the 160 position design offers higher density without increasing footprint. Low MOQs of 500 units available with no tooling fees for standard configurations.
 
Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of contacts on 9 presses, selective gold and tin plating, automated pin insertion, 100 percent coplanarity and contact position inspection, contact resistance and insulation resistance tests, dielectric withstanding voltage test, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
