This compact male connector follows IEC 60603-2 standards, featuring a Type B configuration with 2 rows of 5 contacts each on a 2.54mm grid. The right angle orientation allows the connector to mount parallel to the PCB edge, enabling daughter cards to plug in perpendicularly, ideal for space constrained chassis designs. The insulator is molded from high temperature UL94 V-0 PBT or glass filled polyester, providing mechanical stability up to 125°C. Male contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold plating of 0.8 microns on the mating area and pure tin on the solder tails, featuring a rectangular pin profile for reliable mating with female sockets. Key specifications include current rating 2A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 1000V AC, and operating temperature from -55 to +125 degrees Celsius. The 10 position design offers a minimal footprint while retaining DIN41612 ruggedness. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include industrial control modules, test equipment, medical devices, telecommunications peripherals, and embedded systems where board space is limited and right angle mating is required. Usage method: solder the right angle through hole pins to the PCB using wave or hand soldering. The plug mates with a corresponding DIN41612 vertical female receptacle, creating a secure backplane or motherboard to daughter card connection. The low pin count simplifies PCB routing. Precautions: do not exceed 2A per contact, ensure proper alignment before mating, avoid excessive insertion force (typical max 30N). Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of male pins on 9 presses, selective gold and tin plating, automated pin insertion and right angle forming, 100 percent coplanarity and pin alignment inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
