Critical installation rules most people get wrong
Always change your compressor oil when you change the oil filter. Old oil contains contaminants that will clog your new filter in days
Apply a thin coat of clean oil to the rubber gasket before installation. Tighten by hand until the gasket seats, then turn an additional 3/4 turn with a wrench. Over-tightening will crack the housing or strip the threads
Run the compressor for 10 minutes after installation, then check for leaks and top off the oil level if needed
Replace every 2000 operating hours. In dusty or high-temperature environments, cut that interval in half to 1000 hours
