With a softening point of 95±5°C and a viscosity of 1500±500 cps at 180°C, 8023 offers a balanced melt profile: fluid enough to penetrate the porous surfaces of kraft paper and non-woven fabric, yet viscous enough to stay in position on vertical and angled handle joints without sagging or running. The 4–7 second setting time gives operators enough open time to position handles precisely before the bond sets, while still maintaining production line speeds that keep output competitive.
The most common application for 8023 is bonding paper handles to paper bags—whether the handle is made from twisted paper rope, flat paper strap, or die-cut reinforced cardboard.
