This is a thermoplastic molding process used to produce hollow, seamless, and stress‑free plastic parts. A measured amount of polymer powder is placed inside a closed mold, which is then heated in an oven while being rotated slowly on two perpendicular axes. The heat fuses the powder against the inner mold surface, and after cooling, the part is demolded. Rotomolding excels at creating large, complex shapes with uniform wall thickness, excellent impact resistance, and no weld lines. It is highly cost‑effective for low to medium production volumes and allows for in‑mold decoration, inserts, and multi‑layer constructions.
