Pre-painted galvanized steel sheet with a matte finish is manufactured by applying a continuous roll-coated layer of polyester or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) topcoat, at a dry film thickness of 10–25 μm, onto a hot-dip galvanized or galvalume substrate following degreasing and phosphating. The coating system provides long-term resistance to atmospheric corrosion, UV exposure, and mechanical abrasion while maintaining consistent color stability. The matte surface reduces glare and enhances visual integration in architectural applications. The zinc or aluminum-zinc alloy base delivers cathodic protection, extending service life in coastal and high-humidity environments. The material exhibits high formability, enabling complex stamping and bending without coating delamination or substrate cracking. Its solar reflectance contributes to reduced heat gain in building envelopes, supporting thermal efficiency. Installation is compatible with standard metal framing and dry-fix systems, eliminating on-site painting. The product complies with GB/T 12754-2019 and ASTM A755 standards. Maintenance is limited to periodic cleaning with water or mild detergent; repainting is feasible if required. The material is fully recyclable at end-of-life, preserving the integrity of the metallic substrate and supporting resource efficiency in construction lifecycle management. Common applications include roofing, wall cladding, interior partitions, and modular building components.
