The dual welding process is adopted for manufacturing large stainless steel pressure vessel shells, widely applied to thin film evaporators, shell and tube heat exchangers and other heavy-duty pressure equipment. First, the vessel shell sections are positioned and aligned with the assistance of an Electric Lifting Hoist to ensure precise assembly of stainless steel cylinder segments. After tack welding, formal girth and longitudinal welding operations start using a Mobile Arc Welding Machine. Continuous welding generates massive welding fume and high heat. A Portable Axial Flow Fan is deployed beside the working platform to blow away harmful smoke, cool the weld zone, and improve onsite working conditions for welders. The dual welding technique implements welding from both inner and outer sides of the shell joint. This method effectively reduces welding deformation, guarantees full penetration of stainless steel weld seams, and meets strict quality requirements of ASME, GB150 and PED for pressure vessels. After welding completion, subsequent non-destructive testing, polishing and anti-corrosion treatment will be carried out before final equipment assembly.
