Antisepsis Silver Sulfadiazine Gauze Dressing is a non-adherent wound contact layer. Made of cotton mesh gauze impregnated with white petrolatum and silver, the dressing soothes and protects the wound while allowing exudate to pass through into an overlying absorbent dressing.

Silver Sulfadiazine Gauze Instructions for Use:

Carefully clean the wound and the surrounding area using sterile water or normal saline, and gently pat the periwound skin dry.
Select a dressing of the appropriate size based on the wound dimensions. Carefully open the sterile package and remove the dressing.
Silver Sulfadiazine Gauze Dressing must be used in conjunction with an outer (secondary) dressing. Sterile scissors may be used to cut the tape and dressing if necessary.
Change the dressing once daily or more frequently, depending on the condition of the wound. If the dressing adheres to the wound, gently moisten it with sterile normal saline before removal.

Acute burns (second-degree or less)
