Multi-way Hydraulic Valve M45/5 Full Product Introduction
(Incorporated keywords: hydraulic motor, hydraulic system)
1. Basic Product Overview
The M45/5 is a monoblock integrally cast manually operated multi-way hydraulic directional valve. Derived from Italy’s Hydrocontrol M45 series, it serves as a compact main control valve specially designed for outrigger systems of wreckers, truck-mounted cranes and concrete pump trucks. As the core oil distribution component of the entire hydraulic system, it integrates 5 independent spools to separately actuate 5 groups of hydraulic cylinders and orbital hydraulic motor. The one-piece cast valve body has no splicing gaps with outstanding leakage resistance. Optimized for low-flow and high-pressure working conditions, it is extensively adopted for original equipment matching and retrofitting replacement of imported valves on special operation vehicles, compact drilling rigs and sanitation equipment.
Model Explanation
- M45: Series code for monoblock multi-way valves with a rated flow of 45L/min per spool
- /5: 5 independent control spools (5 complete hydraulic control circuits)
Standard configuration: Inlet integrated main relief valve + built-in anti-reverse check valve. It is normally equipped with O-type center function (all ports P, T, A and B fully closed for pressure retention and load locking). Spools are available in two structures: automatic spring reset and ball detent positioning.

3. Structure & Working Principle
The entire valve is machined from a single block of cast iron, integrating a main oil inlet zone (fitted with relief valve), 5 independent directional spools and a common oil return passage. It is directly connected to the oil outlet of the hydraulic pump and matched with downstream hydraulic motor and actuating cylinders:
1. Neutral Standby State: All ports P, T, A and B are completely sealed and locked. The pump remains pressurized on standby, and all 5 groups of hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motor are rigidly locked with zero load slippage, ideal for long-time parking support of outriggers.
2. Manual Lever Direction Switching: Pull the lever of a single spool to axially displace the spool and switch oil passages. High-pressure oil from port P flows into port A while port B connects to return port T, driving the hydraulic motor to rotate forward or the cylinder to extend. Pull the lever in the reverse direction to swap oil paths and achieve reverse movement of actuators.
3. Lever Release & Reset: For spring reset versions, the handle rebounds to neutral automatically to lock the load upon release; ball detent versions can be fixed at working gears for continuous oil supply.
4. Safety Protection: The integrated main relief valve discharges pressure automatically when the hydraulic system overpressurizes. Each spool features a built-in check valve to block oil backflow and avoid reverse rotation and jitter of the hydraulic motor during shutdown.
4. Core Product Advantages
1. Seamless One-piece Casting: Unlike sectional assembled valves, it eliminates leakage risks at spliced joints and delivers superior reliability under long-term bumpy conditions, perfectly suited for vehicle-mounted vibrating environments.
2. Precise low-flow control at 45L/min with 5-circuit compact layout, tailor-made for vehicles equipped with 4 outrigger cylinders plus auxiliary implements, simplifying pipeline layout of the hydraulic system.
3. O-type fully closed center maintains constant pressure during parking, with no load settlement for outriggers and hoisting loads for enhanced safety.
4. Flexible modular retrofitting: Overload safety valves and makeup valves can be added, and conversion to electric control or long-distance cable control is supported.
5. Cast iron valve body features excellent wear, dust and impact resistance for harsh construction, field and mining sites. It serves as a cost-effective perfect replacement for original imported Hydrocontrol valves.
6. Built-in check valves block backflow effectively, preventing idle reverse rotation and internal port plate abrasion of the hydraulic motor.
5. Typical Application Scenarios
1. Wreckers and road rescue tow trucks: 5 circuits controlling 4 outrigger cylinders and one lifting boom cylinder respectively;
2. Concrete pump trucks and compact truck-mounted cranes: Centralized control of four outrigger cylinders plus auxiliary winch hydraulic motor across five circuits;
3. Compact exploration drilling rigs: Multi-circuit linkage of feed cylinders, power head hydraulic motor and gripper cylinders;
4. Main hydraulic control for outriggers and lifting mechanisms of garbage trucks and aerial work platforms;
5. Replacement parts for original imported M45 valves in the hydraulic system of all special vehicle-mounted hydraulic equipment.
