What is Black POM-C Sheet?
Black POM-C sheet is extruded sheet made of copolymer polyoxymethylene (copolymer acetal), coloured with carbon black. Compared with POM-H homopolymer acetal, it has better hydrolysis resistance, alkali resistance and creep resistance, with good toughness and thermal stability. It features low friction, self-lubrication, low water absorption and high dimensional stability, easy for precision CNC turning and milling. Carbon black pigment brings good anti-ageing performance. It complies with RoHS and REACH, widely used for automation sliders, guide rails, gears, bushings, packaging machinery components.
Manufacturing Process
Black POM-C sheet is produced by extrusion molding process. Virgin copolymer POM raw material mixed evenly with carbon black masterbatch is melted at high temperature and continuously extruded through a special sheet die. After calendering, cooling, shaping, traction and cutting, sheets of standard sizes are obtained. Temperature, extrusion speed and calendering pressure are strictly controlled during production to reduce internal stress, ensure uniform thickness tolerance and avoid deformation after machining.
