The Kawasaki M5X180 is a high-performance axial piston swing motor specially developed for medium and large excavators. It is the original factory slewing drive unit, widely matched with 20-ton to 30-ton class excavators. This hydraulic piston motor adopts a robust integrated structure with built-in mechanical brake assembly, anti-reverse valve and distribution plate. The model M5X180 features large displacement, high starting torque and stable low-speed performance. 3. Working Principle

High-pressure oil enters the hydraulic piston motor from the main hydraulic system, pushing the piston assembly to revolve around the cylinder block, converting hydraulic pressure into mechanical torque to drive the excavator upper body rotation. The integrated multi-disc brake locks the output shaft automatically when no control pressure is applied, preventing unexpected slewing on slopes. The built-in buffer valve absorbs pressure spikes to protect the motor from hydraulic shock during frequent start and stop operations. All internal wearing spare parts can be replaced separately for motor overhaul.
