Working Principle
Pressurized hydraulic oil supplied by excavator hydraulic system flows into the hydraulic motor inside FINAL DRIVE. Hydraulic energy converts to mechanical rotary torque. Power is amplified through double‑reduction planetary gear set of the Travel Assembly, and drives crawler track to realize forward, backward and steering movement.
The built‑in parking brake locks output shaft when stop traveling, preventing slipping on slope terrain. When internal motor parts, gear teeth or friction plates wear out, the FINAL DRIVE will produce insufficient traction, track crawl and abnormal noise. Replacing the complete CAT 330GC Travel Assembly can restore full driving performance of the hydraulic system.
