Bingdao Tangerine Peel Ripe Pu'er | 8g Individually Packed Small Square Slices
Sourced from the core Bingdao producing area in Mengku, Lincang, Yunnan. The ancient tea gardens sit in high-altitude mountains shrouded in mist with soft sunlight and soil rich in organic matter. Native ancient tea trees root deep in the mountains, far away from pollution, preserving the primeval forest ecosystem. The trees absorb nutrients slowly and develop rich, mellow tea substances. Local Lahu tea farmers follow ancient traditional tea-making principles to protect ancient tea gardens and control raw material quality from the source.
Selected from spring raw materials of Bingdao ancient tea trees. Tea farmers climb trees to hand-pick premium fresh leaves of one bud with two or three leaves. Only nutrient-rich, evenly mature fresh tea leaves are chosen, while old and broken leaves are removed, maximally retaining the inner substances of tea leaves and laying a high-quality foundation for subsequent ripe pu'er fermentation.
Compressed independent small square slices, net weight 8g per piece. Each slice is hermetically packed in an individual aluminium foil bag. Neat square shape with moderate compression. One slice for one brew, no tea prying required. The matte black aluminium foil pouch is portable and light-proof, locking aroma and resisting moisture. Easy to carry for business trips, office work and travel, clean and hygienic for controlled brewing.
The ripe pu'er dry tea is dark black and glossy with intact, clear tea strips. Mixed with aged tangerine peel shreds, orange-yellow and reddish-brown peel strips are interspersed among dark brown tea. Rich citrus aroma blends with the aged fragrance of ripe pu'er even in dry tea state. Well-compressed, dry and clean dry tea with no broken debris.
Tea Liquor: After brewing, the liquor is deep red and translucent with an amber wine-red hue, glossy and clear without turbidity.
Taste: Bingdao ripe pu'er delivers soft, waxy texture, blended with fresh citrus aroma from tangerine peel. Mellow aged fragrance with no unpleasant pile flavour. Smooth and rich on the palate with sweet returning sweetness. Elegant citrus scent does not overpower the tea flavour. The liquor slides gently down the throat with long-lasting sweetness and silky texture.
Infused Leaves: After brewing, infused leaves are dark brown, flexible and elastic with intact leaf structure. Tangerine peel shreds unfurl and release orange fragrance. Well-matured raw materials, no hard stems or burnt leaves.
