Application of Railway steel sleepers

Steel sleepers are vital railway track components that support rails, maintain gauge, and distribute loads to the ballast.

The material should meet BS EN 10025-2 or equivalent materials.

Mechanical properties:

·Tensile strength: 410 - 540 Mpa

·Yield strength: ≥ 275Mpa

·Elongation: ≥ 22%

Bend test: The test piece when bent cold until the internal diameter at the bend is not greater than the thickness of the test piece, shall show no signs of fracture.
