Sourced from the core producing area of Lahu Mountain, Mengku Town, Shuangjiang, Lincang, Yunnan. The tea garden lies in an alpine secret land at an altitude of 1650–1800 meters, abundant in mist with soft sunlight and soil rich in organic matter. The ancient tea gardens have been guarded by the Lahu people for generations. Far away from urban pollution, the primitive mountain environment nourishes tea trees and endows the tea with natural and mellow mountain charm. This is the self-owned ancient tea garden base of Wangzihao Yuhao Tea Factory.
Made from single ancient Mengku large-leaf tea trees aged 500–800 years. The ancient trees feature rugged, twisting trunks with bark marked by traces of time. Their roots penetrate deep into the soil to absorb mineral nutrients from underground layers. Ancient trees grow slowly and contain abundant internal substances, delivering rich tea character. They are precious ancient tea resources in the Bingda region.
Picked manually by local tea farmers climbing trees in compliance with ancient tea picking standards. Only high-quality raw materials of one bud with two or three leaves are selected. The tenderness of picked leaves is strictly controlled; over-harvesting and destructive picking are forbidden to preserve the original nutrients of ancient tea and inherit the traditional tea-picking craftsmanship of Lahu Mountain.
The freshly picked ancient tea leaves are plump and full, with broad, thick blades, clear veins and flexible texture. They are rich in polysaccharides, pectin and tea compounds, laying a high-quality raw material foundation for the subsequent pile fermentation and shaping of ripe pu'er.
The raw materials undergo traditional pile fermentation, then are precisely pressed into individual mini square tea pieces. Each piece is a fixed weight of 8g, sealed in independent light-proof aluminum foil sachets for cleanliness, blocking moisture and peculiar odors. One piece per brew; no tea chiseling required, easy to carry. The gift box package suits personal drinking and business gifting. It complies with national standard GB/T22111, contains no allergens and can be stored for a long time.
Compressed into compact square tea blocks with moderate compression density. Whole tea strips are distinct, dark brown and glossy, with faint golden buds visible. The dry tea strips are robust and the surface is even. The whole piece can be taken out easily after opening the individual pouch and is not fragile.
After brewing, the tea liquor is deep red and translucent, glossy with warm tea mist in the cup. It has a thick, smooth texture and obvious cup coating, clear without turbidity.
The infused tea leaves are dark reddish brown, soft and resilient with intact, elastic blades. Fermentation is uniform, no burnt rotten leaves or hard stems, demonstrating premium quality of well-fermented ripe pu'er.
Mellow, sweet and smooth on the palate. It carries the unique honey aroma and aged fragrance of Bingda ancient tea, with full-bodied liquor and almost no off-notes. Long-lasting sweet aftertaste, mild and non-irritating, leaving sweetness lingering in the throat. Suitable for all ages and comfortable for daily tasting.
