SFF-8087 is a 36-pin MINI SAS connector with plastic locking connector compatible with internal links. It is mainly used on Mini SAS 4i array cards as an internal SAS connector cable, designed to realize Mini SAS internal interconnect solutions. Typical applications are SAS links between SAS HBAs and SAS drive subsystems. Widely used in data communication field, such as servers, rackmount servers, workstations, RAID standalone redundant disk arrays and so on. The SFF-8087 is compliant with the latest 6Gbps SAS 2.0 specification and supports the 6Gbps data transfer protocol.The Mini SAS external counterpart of the SFF-8087 is the SFF-8088, which is also compatible with SAS 2.0 and supports 6Gbps SAS data transfer speed. Both the SFF-8087 and SFF-8088 can support up to 4 ports (4 channels) of SAS data.
