C5/C9 copolymerization resin is a thermoplastic resin produced from C5 and C9 fractions by-produced from petroleum cracking, through pretreatment, polymerization, distillation and other processes, it is not a polymer, but an oligomer with molecular weight between 300-3000. It has the advantages of both C5 petroleum resin and C9 petroleum resin. It has the characteristics of low acid value, good miscibility, resistance to water, ethanol and chemicals, etc. It is chemically stable to acid and alkali, and has the characteristics of adjusting viscosity and good thermal stability. As the structure does not contain polar groups, it has good water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, weather resistance and light aging resistance, good solubility in organic solvents, especially in petroleum solvents, good compatibility with other resins, but also brittle, viscosity, adhesion and plasticity. Generally it is not used alone, but used as accelerator regulator, modifier and other resins together.
