SKYSIL SL-680 SILICA MATTING AGENT FOR COIL COATING

SL-680 silica matting agent is an ideal choice for satisfying strict industrial requirements with its design - physicochemical parameters.

1. High purity (SiO₂ ≥99%) and low loss on drying (≤6.0%)

- It can make sure the stability of matting effeciency and it will also prevent the coating being yellowing from impurities reacting under high

temperature.

2. Precise particle size (5.5-6.0μm)

- The silica matting agent particles will be dispersed evenly in this size ranges. The particles will form a rougher surface to scatter the light which

can approve even matte effect (60° glossy value can be adjusted from 20 to 40). And at the same time, it can also avoid surface defects of the

paint film caused by oversized particles.

3. High Porosity (pore volume 1.8-2.0 ml/g) and Oil Absorption (260-300 g/100 g)

- The porous structure significantly enhances light scattering efficiency and provides high matting performance. High oil absorption requires

formulation design and rheological adjustments to ensure coating smoothness during high-speed coating (80-200 m/min).
