Uses of Calcium Acetate
1. Used as food stabilizer, chelating agent, mold inhibitor, buffering agent, aroma enhancer, corrosion inhibitor; Calcium acetate is also a good calcium fortifier for food, the absorption effect is better than inorganic calcium. Properties and stability of Calcium Acetate
1. Decompose into acetone and calcium carbonate when heated to 160℃. Easily soluble in water, 0 ℃ in 100mL water solubility of 37g, 100 ℃ in 100mL water solubility of 30g.
2. Insoluble in ethanol, insoluble in acetone and benzene. Flammable, non-toxic. Insulated from air. Decomposed into calcium carbonate and acetone by heat. When dehydrated with calcium acetate dihydrate, the dehydration product is a mixture of calcium acetate, acetic acid, calcium carbonate and calcium oxide, and anhydrous calcium acetate is not obtained.
