Fixing Methods of Ball Screw:

1. One-end Fixed and One-end Free Mode

Suitable for occasions with small loads, generally used vertically.

A pair of angular contact bearings must be applied.

2. Two-ends Fixed Mode

1) Both sides of the structure are fixed. During use, the ball screw rod will generate heat, causing thermal elongation and deformation of the ball screw rod.

2) Angular contact bearings are used at both ends of the ball screw and ball nut.

3. One-end Fixed and One-end Supported Mode

1) One end is equipped with a pair of angular contact bearings, and the other end is equipped with a deep groove ball bearing, where the axial direction of the deep groove ball bearing is not limited.

2) The angular contact bearing part must be tightly fixed. Generally, the bearing cover and similar parts adopt a tolerance of +0.02 to compress the internal angular contact bearings.

3) The locking nut generally uses fine threads. In foreign equipment, a copper sheet is often added to the front end of the set screw to prevent the set screw from damaging the locking thread of the ball screw rod.

4. Fixed plus Fixed Mode

1) Used for long-distance applications, adopting the mode where the ball screw rod does not rotate and the nut rotates. It is less commonly used for lengths over 3 meters. Generally, it is used for 1m to 2m. For shorter distances, synchronous belts are preferred, and for over 3 meters, gear racks are preferred.

2) The tolerance of the ball screw assembly holes of the two bearing blocks in the height direction is ±0.02.
