Aluminium Sulphate is produced by the reaction of bauxite and sulphuric acid under pressure, or it can be produced by decomposing alumina, kaolin and alumina-containing silica raw materials with sulphuric acid. Sulfuric acid method will be crushed to a certain size of bauxite, added to the reaction kettle and sulfuric acid reaction, the reaction solution by settling, the clarified liquid add sulfuric acid to neutralise to neutral or slightly alkaline, and then concentrated to 115 ℃ or so, after cooling and curing, crushed to produce a finished product.

Aluminium Sulphate has strong acidity, which can form acid on the surface of wood, thus effectively inhibiting the growth of fungi, moulds and other microorganisms in the wood to achieve the purpose of anticorrosion.
Application
(1)Used as catalyst. Aluminium Sulfate can be used as a catalyst for some chemical reactions. For example, in the petroleum refining process, it can be used for catalytic cracking reaction, the heavy oil molecules into light products. In addition, aluminium sulphate can also be used in other catalytic reactions, such as dehydration and esterification.
(2)Used for gardening, adding aluminium sulphate in fertilizer can make the plant flowers become blue.
(3)Deodorising and decolourising agent in petroleum industry.
(4)Aluminium Sulphate can work together with surfactants to improve the suspension of particles in the liquid and reduce the aggregation of particles, thus effectively preventing particles from settling and increasing the stability of the liquid.
(5）Aluminium Sulphate can also regulate soil pH, because it hydrolyses to generate aluminium hydroxide at the same time as a small amount of dilute solution of sulphuric acid, which can promote the structural improvement of clayey soils, and improve the permeability and drainage of the soil.
