Composite exhaust valve,as known as flange exhaust valve ,automatic exhaust valve,is an important pipeline accessory, mainly used to remove gas from pipelines to ensure the normal operation of pipeline systems. It is usually installed at the highest point or closed place of the pipeline, clearing the pipeline by removing the gas inside, to prevent problems such as insufficient pressure or vibration caused by gas accumulation in the pipeline. The core function of a composite exhaust valve is that it can automatically suck in air when the pressure inside the pipeline decreases, to prevent the pipeline from breaking or vibrating due to negative pressure.

working principle

The working principle of a composite exhaust valves are relatively simple but crucial. When the pipeline starts to inject water, the floating ball is located at the lower part of the valve body for a large amount of exhaust. As water enters, the float rises and brings the valve disc to the closed position, thereby stopping the exhaust. When the pipeline is working normally, if a small amount of air accumulates inside the valve, the water level inside the valve will drop, and the float will also drop, and the air will be discharged through the small hole. When negative pressure occurs in the pipeline due to power outages, pump shutdowns, etc., the valve plate will open the large hole to suck in air to ensure pipeline safety.

Structural characteristics

Composite exhaust valves are usually composed of a cylindrical valve body, stainless steel structure floating balls, plugs, and other components. When there is gas overflow in the system during operation, the gas will rise inside the valve body. As the gas pressure increases, the float rises and opens the exhaust port to release the gas. After the gas is exhausted, the float descends and the exhaust port is closed. If negative pressure is generated inside the system, the float will also descend and open the exhaust port to draw in external air to balance the pressure.

Compared with other valves, composite exhaust valves focus on automatic exhaust and intake functions, ball valve perform well in cutting off and connecting fluids, while gate valve more suitable for high flow control. When selecting valves, the type of valve to be used should be determined based on specific application requirements and working environment.
