SKYSIL HYDROPHOBIC SILICA S17

Super high specific surface area reaches no less than 160 m²/g, greatly upgrading overall practical performance
When applied in defoamer formulas, it strengthens adsorption effect on gas-liquid contact surface, and the lasting foam suppression time can
hit over 180 minutes, which is half longer than regular common silica materials.
When added into lubricant systems, it helps form sturdy anti-wear and extreme pressure protective films. Users only need to add proper
dispersant during formulation to prevent gel phenomenon effectively.
Fully processed deep hydrophobic modification, loss on ignition keeps below 8.0%
The loss on ignition value is steadily controlled within 8%, matching 4% to 6% dimethylsiloxane surface coating, which is verified through
400℃ thermogravimetric analysis test.
This silica has water contact angle above 130 degrees, it can quickly break through water-based foam layers and finish defoaming within 3
seconds. It also shows outstanding oil resistance. After being used in 150℃ gear oil for 1000 hours continuously, it can still keep more than
90% original hydrophobic property.
Tapped density ranges from 120 to 140 g/L, perfectly fitting mass production procedures
This powder owns loose and light texture. The uniformity error during dry powder mixing is less than 5%. While doing high-speed dispersion
in lubricant products, the internal air content can be controlled as low as 0.3%, which greatly improves finished product quality.
