2. How can we avoid an increase in electrode consumption during steelmaking?

To avoid increased electrode consumption during steelmaking, the following measures should be taken: (1) Maintain a good power supply state and supply power within the allowable current intensity range of the electrode as per the design requirements of the electric furnace. However, for the production of electrode connectors, which requires two more immersion and three more baking processes than electrodes, the fastest production cycle is also 90 days.

4、What are the characteristics of the electrodes produced by the serial-connected graphitization furnace?

The development direction of graphitization furnaces is the internal heat serial-connected graphitization furnace. Since the current density of the series-connected columns is the same, the difference in electrode resistivity is very small. Secondly, the resistivity at both ends of the inner series graphitization products should be slightly lower than that in the middle (the resistivity at both ends of the graphitization products of the Etchison furnace is higher than that in the middle), which is conducive to reducing the resistance at the connection point during user operation and alleviating the overheating and redness phenomenon at the connection point of the joint. Therefore, the electrode quality uniformity produced by the series graphitization furnace is better than that of the Etchison furnace and is more suitable for the production requirements of electric arc furnace steelmaking.

5.Different power electric furnaces should use graphite electrodes of different powers. graphite electrodes are classified by grade into (regular power)RP graphite electrode,( 68337902,high power)HP graphite electrode, and (ultra high power)UHP graphite electrode.
