Product Information
Chemical Properties of Iron iii Chloride
Ferric chloride is an inorganic compound. It is a strongly corrosive and irritating solid.
Ferric chloride is a hygroscopic green crystal that absorbs moisture and water vapor from the air to form a hydrate. It dissolves in water to produce an acidic solution. In solution, ferric chloride can readily decompose with chloride ions to form FeCl4-. In more oxidizing media, ferric chloride can oxidize some organic substances, such as phenol, to produce the corresponding phenolic quinone.
Ferric Chloride can also form complexes with some organic substances. For example, it can form with aromatic hydrocarbons with stability and unique color complexes, these complexes are commonly used in organic synthesis and dye industry.
Ferric Chloride also has catalytic properties. It can be used as a catalyst to facilitate certain organic reactions, such as substitution and oxidation.
Uses of Iron iii Chloride
Used as oxidizing agent and mordant in dye industry, catalyst and oxidizing agent in organic synthesis industry. It is also a corrosive agent for photographic and printing plates and a raw material for the manufacture of other iron salts, pigments, inks and medicines. It can also be used as polycondensate for free radical polymerization, polymerization blocking agent and chlorination of silver and copper ores. Mixed in the construction of concrete solution can increase the strength of the building, corrosion resistance and prevent water seepage. It is also used in the treatment of drinking water and wastewater.
Safety of Iron iii Chloride
Ferric Chloride is corrosive. Its dust can irritate mucous membranes causing inflammation. Staff should take protection, if it touches the skin inadvertently, it should be rinsed with flowing water immediately. The substance should be stored separately from metal powders, flammable and combustible materials, reducing agents, etc. It should not be stored and transported together with toxic materials. It should not be stored and transported together with toxic substances, and should be protected from rain and sunlight during transportation. In case of fire, water must not be used, and sand and foam fire extinguishers can be used to put out the fire.
Company Information(1) Super Absorbent Polymer
In the process of industrial production and people's life, some substances are often used to absorb and retain water, and we call such substances that can absorb and retain water absorbent materials. Super Absorbent Polymers not only have high water absorption capacity, but also high water retention capacity, it contains strong hydrophilic groups, insoluble in water, but can absorb dozens, hundreds or even thousands of times the weight of water polymer.
(2)Sodium Polyacrylate
Sodium polyacrylate is often used as a water treatment agent, brine refining and latex thickening, but also as a food viscosity, emulsification. Sodium polyacrylate is extremely wet, is a kind of polymer compound with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. It can slowly dissolve in water to form a very viscous transparent liquid, the viscosity of 0.5% solution is about 1Pa-s, and its viscosity is roughly equal to that of CMC, which is 15~20 times of sodium alginate.
