Pad printer rubber head movement mode

The pad printer faces more and more complex product shapes. In order to adapt to various printing positions and printing angles, on the one hand, a multi-axis servo fixture can be installed to control the movement of the product in the front, back, left, right, up and down, angle and other directions to achieve this. On the other hand, the rubber head can also be controlled to extend the movement such as rotation, elongation, and swing.

The pad printer rubber head mainly has the following movement forms

1. Vertical up and down movement

The rubber head moves up and down along the vertical direction (Z axis) to complete the cycle of "dipping ink → moving to the top of the workpiece → pressing down to print → rising back". The ink-dipping stroke of the rubber head is generally fixed, but facing the top of some containers, the rubber head may need a larger stroke to press down. At this time, it is necessary to increase the vertical movement distance of the rubber head to achieve this. For some spheres, it is also applicable.

2. Horizontal swing

Some products need to be printed on the side, and the fixture cannot turn the printed surface upward. This can be done by adding a horizontal swing to the action of the rubber head, that is, when the rubber head moves to the workbench, it turns forward 90 degrees or any other angle. The horizontal swing of the pad head is suitable for multi-sided pad printing of a product, such as the three sides of a gift box and the three sides of a helmet.

3. Three-dimensional linkage (X/Y/Z axis)

The pad printing machine sometimes requires the pad head to be moved to the top of the workbench after being dipped in ink like a CNC machine to move in any direction such as front, back, left, right, and angle. The pad head can be installed on the three-dimensional beam to execute complex programs.
